Friendly staff greet each patron as they arrive, welcoming them into a modern, olive-green setting with charming vintage touches or seating them under one of the umbrellas outside. It’s relaxed but personal, with attentive table service driven by the owner’s experience in some of Sydney’s most notable restaurants. That experience shows through in the kitchen, too, where everything is freshly prepared and – wherever possible – locally sourced. Taking inspiration from Europe, Arbuckles Restaurant’s seasonal menu might offer prawn and baby octopus bruschetta to start, and roasted Moroccan spiced lamb backstrap with pea purree and a roast beetroot, feta and walnut salad.
